Background:
BIN-1 is a tumor suppressor protein that was
identified in a genetic screen for proteins that
interact with the MYC oncoprotein. BIN-1 inhibits
the oncogenic activity of MYC, possibly through
activating or facilitating apoptosis. BIN is a shortlived
protein with a half-life of about 2 hours.
Specificity:
The antibody recognizes a ~65 kDa band in
samples from humans, rats and mice. A
cleavage fragment (~45 kDa) can be detected in
apoptotic samples.
Species Reactivity:
Human, mouse and rat. Others not tested.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues
surrounding amino acid 578 of mouse BIN-1.

Rabbit
Format:
100 μg (0.2 mg/mL solution) of immunoaffinity
purified rabbit antibody in PBS containing
protein stabilizer, 20% glycerol and 0.02%
thimerosal.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term, store at or below -20°C
long term. Aliquot to avoid repeat freeze/thaw
cycles.
Application and Suggested Dilution:.

Western blots: Use at 0.5-2 μg/mL.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
